Mundu Radio adds hurdles, frustration, but little benefit

Mundu Radio is a multi-platform software application for Internet radio, allowing you to stream hundreds of stations from around the world straight to your handset. Which is something that Nokia Internet Radio application can already do for most devices - does Mundu add enough to this mix to make it worthwhile? Ewan fires it up late at night, under the bed covers, to find out...

Read on in the full article.

Hi Steve and all, always nice to read your reviews but please, why do you not link to the product being reviewed? Sometimes when you review something that sounds interesting, it can be quite a chore to find the relevant S60 download page.

It's not my review - Ewan wrote it!!

Mundu Radio, like almost all the applications we now review, is foremost in the Nokia Ovi Store *on your device*. And it's free etc.

I'd point out the Buy link and Download link at the top of the review, which take you direct to the Ovi Store page of the application, where you can donlaod the app from.

Evan: my fault, I read Stevens summary of your review and missed those links, sometimes steven writes so much and uses so many imgs, that unless you really look out you miss the actual review, thinking that the summary _is_ the review

You can also find the Symbian download by going directly to the Mundu site here:
http://mundu.com/

Unfortunately, it does not seem to be happy on my 5800. Going to landscape orientation dumps you ouyt of the program and you can't log in because it will not activate the password field, I suspect because it is waiting for d-pad input.

Too bad, I use this on my Palm TX. Oh well, back to Lonely Cat Jukebox for internet radio.

Does anyone know why Nokia Internet Radio still isn't available for S60 5th Edition?

I'd love to use it on a 5800 or N97 but it just doesn't seem to exist yet! :-(

Thumbs down No Good For 5800

I've downloaded this to my 5800, but when I try to login for the first time, the app doesn't let me move from Usename field to Password field! In other words, the touch screen is just not working! How on earth did you 5800 users (above) manage to navigate through the initial login screen if you can't move the cursor from one field to the next??!!

If you reread my post, you'll discover I reported the same result as you. I don't thank any other poster (including the original article) was trying it on S60v5.

I sent a message to Mundu support.

CBC Radio

Which app do you guys use to listen to live CBC Radio One?

They have one test Ogg stream (Symbian OggPlay doesn't work) and most of their hi-quality streams are in WMA.

Thumbs down mundu radio not working on Nokia E90

Mundu Radio doesn't work on my E90. I get to the welcome menu and click yes to approve use of the internet connection. and the app logs out... Even after three re-install no luck. Anybody else having the issue.

nokia 5800 internet streaming.

Hi Steve.
It seems you are the Guru of these things. My autisitic son has been bought a Nokia 5800 and he wanted to internet radio stream. I found several articles on the net about Mundu ....But sadly it is no longer available, at OVI store to download. You mention here internet streaming is already available on his operating system ...being a lady of a certain age, I am a bit lost with these things and wondered if you could help me find what it is I need, to radio stream using the Nokia 5800 please?
Pam
