Bluetooth Output volume low for voice calls

I want to know how I can change the output volume level for voice calls on my 5800. I would like to increase the volume during calls by 10% to 20%.

I know that the volume can get much louder because when an incoming call rings through the headset it is at least twice as loud as I can set the volume level during the phone call. Of course the volume level differs for each profile I use but I know it can be done.

Smile Headset

The issue must be in the BT headset , not in the Phone I suppose . Did you try another headset ? Change settings of the HS ? Max range of BT is about 10 m .

The headset is not the problem. It can get plenty loud. If I set the phone to the outdoor setting which has the ringer all the way up, the ring can be heard in the bluetooth headset. While it is ringing in the headset the volume is easily twice as loud as when you answer.

In other words the ring tone heard through the bluetooth headset is twice as loud as when you answer and the voice portion of the call starts at which point you can tell the phone is lowering the volume level sent to the headset.

I have also used the headset on another phone and I know for certain that the volume gets louder on the headset when connected to another phone.

Hmm, I just used a motorokr SD9-HD stereo headset for a call this afternoon. I was talking to my boss and he never complained about audio quality nor did he know that's how I was talking to him. I could hear him fine as well. I don't recall what volume settings I used but I doubt both phone and headset were maxed out. When my 5800 connects to my car using Handsfree link there's no volume issue either. People can hear me fine and I can hear them too.

Sorry, not much help but at least now you know it should work fine
