Garmin Mobile XT GPS Signal

Hi, ive got Garmin Mobile XT on my phone and use the N95's internal GPS. It can sometime take a while for my phone to get a GPS signal...

Is there anything I can do to make it connect faster to the GPS or do I have tojust sit back and wait...?

Its annoying when I want to go somewhere and have to wait for my phone to get a signal. Sometimes it can connect fast or sumtimes it will connect after a while...

Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Make sure the phone has got a clear view of the sky; a cheapo phone holder can sort that.

The GPS needs to learn where the satillites are, so use Garmin everytime you go out, even if you havent got any routes planned. Thats what I done and I get signal as soon as I pull away in my car.

Make sure your slider is open and in direct view of the sky. Also, make sure you have data network connectivity so the AGPS can function - mine gets a signal within seconds doing this.

yes if you enable A-GPS it gets the lock much faster, but it uses some data. in a new area the gps will take longer to get a lock. i load mine a lot and the lock happens in about 15 seconds. so just run it as much as you can, and enable agps.
