hi guys, does nokia 5230 supports jar format. . If so . . My nokia 5230 is not supporting dat format. . I always get error msgs like file cannot be opened . . Unsupported format. . While i try to install some games. . Even i also tried after formatted my mobile. . Still the problem persist. . Need ur help. Desperately . . Thanx in advance
Yes, the 5230 supports "jar format" (meaning that it supports Java Micro Edition, JME, applications, or so called MIDlets).
All .jar files do not containt MIDlets, but they could be Java Standard Edition, JSE, applets intended for PCs.
And if it is a MIDlet, it might still not work, if it is made for an incompatible version of Java than what the phone you have supports.
