Question Incoming call dropped when simply picking up phone (Several Nokias N82,N95,3310)

Sometimes, when I receive an incoming call, when I begin to pick up the phone, the call drops unexpectedly before I even get a chance to answer it.

What is happening here?

Is it something to do with the accelerometer, some weird motion with the buttons being triggered?

I have had this problem with the Nokia N82, N95 and even the old 3310.

Anyone had similar experiences and know how to prevent it? Thanks.
