N8's screen.

Hi everybody!

My first post here . I have a question about N8's screen. Is the purple tint issue still there? I am having mixed answers, some say it's fixed, some say it's still there. What is your experience, especially thoes, who have bought their N8 lately. Im considering it myself and just doing some reasearch .

Thanks in advance!

I bought my last N8 in U.K. about 4 months ago and it did have bad purple tinted screen. I had the screen replaced then the motherboard failed (phone went off, wouldn't turn on), so had that replaced too.
After repairs the purple effect is much less than it was, but it still there along with the blocky black/grey transitions.
I would point out that I use my phone extensively for watching videos, where these effects are very noticeable. If you don't use your phone for watching videos then you probably won't notice it much.

It seems like getting a screen without the purple tint is hit and miss. I guess there's not much to do but to order the phone and hope that it comes with a good display. Thanks alot for your feedback everybody.
