p800 Freezes on startup screen

I've seen some other people have had this problem but I have not seen any solutions. I haven't had any problems with my phone before this situation.

I was doing a sync, and the phone told me that I was low on memory. I cancelled the sync, removed the p800 from the cradle and then got the yellow exclamation point error with the #10. I held down the power switch for 10 seconds to power it off. When I restarted, the unit is now just frozen after the startup animation on the sony p800 screen. I have tried removing the battery, removing the memory stick etc. I can't access the service menu I don't think.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks!

I think a lot of people are having problems with their phones when they put too much mem, I suggest you keep at least 2-3 MB free. Same as windows, you need space like this for fileswapping, its probably the same concept as that. You need that extra space for it to run the aps you have installed. If it cant find space it hangs up

Reset Button not available

Even the compaq Ipaq and most pocket pcs have have a physical switch on them that enables you to clear out the unit to restore it to factory defaults when these types of issues occur.

I am surprised that Sony Ericsson does not have this type of switch on it. I called Sony Ericsson US Support and they have no clue what the problem is. They told me I probably need to send it in. I said okay fine. And they said you cannot do it yet, as we don't support this unit. Try again in a few weeks, as it's under warranty. So now I have to go back to my Compaq ipaq and attempt to fix this unit sometime within the next few months. This is completely lame. Maybe if I remove the battery for a few months, the lithium backup (which I'm assuming this unit has) will finally die out and allow me to turn it on!

Oh well... maybe there's a key combo or somethin to reset it.
