smartphoneware & symbianware?

What's the deal? The symbianware site is offline today (1/18)
Is it safe to buy powerdesk from symbianware right now? I'm worried one or the other will no longer be developed/the developer.
If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd be grateful.

(apparently, smartphoneware was formed from part of symbianware).

Last I heard, everything was in dispute, in the hands of lawyers. Best to leave well along until the dust has settled.

The dispute was between the staff and management of the company, I believe.
