MMC Avast! Heave To! The N-Gage Sets Sail with High Seize

From Red Lynx, the makers of Pathway to Glory comes what's already down on my 'must have' list. Announced at GDC is High Seize, a Pirate based strategy game, where you're on a quest to save your Father from the evil pirates who've kidnapped him. A nice tip of the hat to Robert Louis Stevenson, and probably the big Christmas 2005 release.

High Seize Brings Thrilling Strategy Gaming To N-Gage Game Decks

San Francisco, CA, USA - Nokia and RedLynx today announced an exclusive new strategy title High Seize for the N-Gage platform. Set in the 17th century Caribbean islands, colonized by several European nations, High Seize combines an epic fantasy storyline with fast and entertaining strategy game play.

With single player and a host of advanced multiplayer options this is one of the most versatile games to be shipped onto the N-Gage game decks. Simple and intuitive interface provides a fulfilling gaming experience, whether it's on your own, with friends locally or against N-Gage gamers from around the world.

"High Seize offers outstanding game play options whether you want a quick single player challenge or a lengthy strategic battle against global adversaries. Players can use the N-Gage Arena to meet match-made opponents and rank high scores, or get four friends together and you can battle it out close range over Bluetooth technology," says Pasi Polonen, Director, Games Publishing, Nokia.

"High Seize has a great story at its heart and we know players will enjoy following the twists and turns of this strategy-based game," says Toni Virhia, producer of the game. "Our experience in developing Pathway to Glory was very positive, so we are excited to work with Nokia again," continues Esa Hotti, Director, RedLynx.

Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel 'Treasure Island' the game takes players on an addictive and thrilling adventure story across the high seas. In the single player game storyline player controls a former navy sailor who sets off to a mission to save his father from the hands of an evil pirate captain. The sailor's mission is packed with treasures, clashes between colonial countries, big sea battles, pirates and even a bit of romance.
