808 position sensor

Hi there,
using my 808 since last fall and am basically quite happy with it. great phone, great os, replaced my nikon p7000.
the only thing that's massively annoying me is the highly over sensitive position sensor. had the same problem with it on my E7 and would love to know your experiences with it. the problem is when i hold the phone in landscape mode and it very easily goes back to portrait mode.
seems to get worse as it gets older. had this problem with two different 808s.
is this a general problem with nokia? or is mine defective?
i'd appreciate your experiences.
