I put the two images trough histograms and Image analysis software at my university. They have a 1% difference. i asked them and they told me that it is visible to the human eye only when stared at a lot with a reasonable amount of investigation. It isnt THAT obvious! Of course....someone can always say he can see it. But thats not the point of the settings on the phone. You are not supposed to analyse the images to see the difference.

I may be missing the point a bit, but when i take pictures, it's for a laugh and possibly send to another mobile, no big deal. 'Muck about' as the orange ad here in the UK goes.

As long as what's on the screen is of a half-decent quality then i'm happy.

Sure if i wanna print it out at a later date, i'll improve it slightly with Paintshop etc. but most of the time i'm happy with the quality.

At the end of the day, if no-ones impressed just whip out the ol' video recorder!! That'll do it!

WOW. I've boufgt today a new TFT monitor (I was planning to buy a new monitor since last year but the lack of space guide me to buy a TFT, and not of this comparison but because I move my PC to the place I am living now and also is my university) and to my surprise the low quality photo was better to my eyes... (it was more bright)

But if you look at the metadata it will tell you if the picture was taken on 'high' or 'low' quality setting?

plus the low quality pic is 19k and the high quality is 32k.

You don't need to be an expert to tell this??

You could always take a screenshot of the desktop with both pics displayed and post this. Or better link to it!

yep

you can put both files on one image file and save that image at good quality...

Then you can't know the size of the each image...

cya!
