E90 Water Damaged - recovery

Dear Friend,

I had accidently got my e90 soaked into water for few seconds. Got it out followed instruction given on different sites and at last it started to work within 10 hours of drying at room temperature.

There are only three problems. Can any one help me to solve them

1 - Front Navigation button sometimes work and sometimes dont work.
2 - camera button sometimes work and sometimes dont work.
3 - Front screen works fine but sometimes it flickers.

Need help.

Regards

The reason you have problems is because you only left it 10 hours and only at room temperature!

You should have taken the battery out and not tried turning it on for at least 2 days after leaving it in an airing cupboard or somewhere warm.

I had the same problem, and eventually left my phone to dry for 6 days, as recommended by Nokia Nederland. I did try it after a day, thinking that it had dried out enough, but immediately noticed problems, so removed the battery straight away. Since it dried out it's been working fine, much to my relief.

I think that you may find that most household insurance does not cover water damage, except in the case of broken pipes or flooding; at least, that's what my insurance broker told me!!

If you have full accidental cover it will be covered.

If the phone is not 100% dry when you turn it on then you risk shorting something on the m/board - it sounds like that's what happened to yours.
Sorry, but it does sound like it's FUBAR'd
