Mine is 29 secs with most apps (lots!) on a 2Gb Sandisk Utra II .

NSysInfo says 21405696 B free RAM straight after booting.

I got handy profiles today after my earlier post so decided to do another timing after reading this. I got exactly the same result of 28 seconds. That proves that Handy Profiles (installed on phone memory) has no effect on boot time.

I have all my other apps installed on phone memory too so maybe that helps

I just got a 51 second startup with all apps installed on phone memory.

Seems I have a duff N95...

*Edit* Look how slow it is:

That is painful! If mine took that long I'd probably have assumed a crash!

Just switched my 4GB card for a 2GB one, and restarted the phone. The boot time is now 25 seconds, so it's obviously the 4GB card causing the problem. Anyone else using a Sandisk 4GB card? If so, is your boot time slow as well?

I am using the 4GB from Sandisk and I have no such problems. Try to copy all important data to your pc and then format the card using the N95.

I tried that, unfortunately. I formatted the card, then loaded it with apps I wanted, put the card in the phone and then installed all the apps onto the phone memory. I then deleted the app installers that I copied onto the card.

Weird, huh?

I'm using the 1Gb that came with the phone, a few 3rd party apps on the phone memory and getting a boot time of about 55 secs. Not that bothered as I very rarely switch the thing off. OS does seem a little unstable though, nothing too drastic but occasionally get crashes and switching between apps, especially the web browser, can be slow!

Hoping it will improve a little with the next firmware upgrade! Still on v11.xx as o2 are dragging their proverbial!!

Mine is around 26 secs.
All of the apps are in the internal memory.
I have Truphone installed and enabled.
When I disable it, I boot just 1 second faster.

I also have a 2Gb Sandisk Utra II, with only data inside .
When I remove it, I boot also just 1 second faster.

So I'm quite happy with the boot time.

But the weird thing:
If I have the memory card mounted, the free ram after booting is 19MB.
If I remove the card, the free ram is 21MB.
Why there is that 2MB difference?

No app is running from the memory card, I checked it from the Device Status.

All vital data, contacts etc are in the phone memory.
It's a mystery. I'm just about to format the memory card to see what's taking up the RAM.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Weird.

as to that 2mb difference, my thought is that its some sort of bridging program to be able to draw info from the card to display on your phone. Just my thought on that.
