Hi,
I'm new on the forum but a veteran 9110 and 9210 user.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to make a neat WAV file into my voicemail reply?

Also, is it possible to send one of these to any GSM line ( I understand that voicemail reply sits at the network server) or only if network supports this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried the obvious, load a sample editor, make your wav... play back through your speakers when you get the chance to record your message. My friend did a similar thing to this ripping a load of samples from Terminator and a few other films. So far only 3 people apart from close friends have left messages after hearing it

At the moment the only way to do it is a Flipside mentioned, call your Voicemail - change the message and when recording it, just playback the WAV.

PSINT are working on an answering machine for the 9210 (no need to use cell co voicemail) which I presume will allow you to use any wav file as the message.

Thanks for your prompt replies.

That's what I thought; i.e. record voice mail again and hope for good connection at the time of recording.

There has to be a techie way to patch into the network server that stores the voice mail replies...I'll do some further investigation with my friends who sell these voice mail solutions to the networks.

Hmmm.....

I tried all of this but there is no connection from the output of the .wav player to the phone mic to send...
I called Nokia here in Denmark when i discovered this, my voicemail was blank, and told them my prob.
The replyed that itīs a new thing in the 9210 due to some privacy issues or something...It canīt playback wav in phonecalls..DAMM
Makes me wish I still had my 9110 to do it ..
OR is this just one of those bad bad nightmares ??

Play it back from your stereo to the phone then, that will work for any handset
