P910! First real pics!!!

Ok guys. I'm a bit excited!!!

It looks like Duo Pro support to me on that one pic! And I've heard that the keyboard will be available for the P900 as well!!!

Thanks to Howardforums where I found these pics!

What the hell is quickshare??

Did some quick gimp image enhancements.

What is quickshare? It's promently featured at the front base of the unit.

Also re your MS Duo Pro idea, Maybe the text is too hard to pick out, the unit's port slot simply say MS Duo tho.

I Would hop duo pro is supported. I'm also holding out that it's wifi enabled but I doubt it. As the first wifi handset i've seen was a prototype at a tokoyo trade fair. And they hadn't even decided if it was going to be running linux or CE.

BTW. July 15th is SE's big product unvieling date. So hopefully they will reveal more then.

I thought the first picture (the jpg thumbnail) showed a MS Duo pro! But looking at it again, I could be mistaking.

It might be a "small" upgrade, but if I can upgrade my P900 reasonable cheap, I'm happy

We should be waiting for an official press release from SE. None of this is confirmed. Although flattering I hope this isn't just a window dressing for the P900. I'm ready for something bigger then just intergrated keyboard..

Thank God for Mobile Theater... What's on your Mobile Phone?

of course this layla isn't confirmed until the official press release. but what's official is that SE is going to release a press release on thursday, and since there's a high probability that it includes this layla, there is a high probability this layla is official

cheers,

Ok. mobile-review.com says they're gonna have a review of the P910 up at 10am. Now, I don't know what time-zone, but if it is the Russian time-zone it should be on their site any minute....

Well, I don't think I'll be buying that. From what I can make out (my Russian isn't great - okay, it's non-existent) you get a completely useless new flip (I have hands the size of coal shovels. I can't even use the keypad on the Treo 600!) and it's a slightly different colour. Whoopee do.

Yeah, saw that afterwards (doh). 64MB RAM is good, 265K screen is fairly unimportant though it's good that it's a bit brighter without, apparantly, effecting the battery life. The main thing is the use of MSD's up to 1GB. That's a huge improvement and, for some, I'm sure worth the upgrade. But, as the review makes clear, it isn't designed to encourage people to upgrade, it's designed as a stop-gap measure to keep them ahead of the game whilst they work on the real follow-up device. Hence there is nothing really mind-blowing.

Presumably, the new version (P1000 or whatever) will get the megapixel camera, wi-fi and UIQ 3.

I Wonder how much a 1GB MSD will cost, given the launch price of 128MB! They could actually cost more then the phone itself

:? No 1.3MP cam??? I know that SE are just trying to make sure that people upgrade to the P1000 but the VGA cam really lets this phone down.

I don't see why the absence of a mega-pixel camera is letting the phone down? Firstly, there are very few phones on the market (outside Japan) with mega-pixel camera's and, to my knowledge, no smartphones. Secondly, the P910 is being squarely aimed at the mobile business user (as stated in the press release accompanying the announcement) to whom the quality of the camera is wholly irrelevant.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a nice-to-have. But I certainly don't think it "really lets this phone down".
