Can't remove software from my N70

When I try to remove some software I downloaded and installed to my phone, the phone hangs and I have to turn it off and back on. I hear there is a way to start s60 phones in "safe mode", anyone knows how to do this on N70?

Hope someone can help

Safe mode:

Holding down the the pen key during start up.
