Can you list the basic steps you used to configure Gmail? I don't want to download the Gmail program I just want to configure a folder for Gmail if this is possible. Thanks!

The information you need is on this page for POP3 enabled Gmail accounts:

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/a...y?answer=13287

IMAP4 here:

And even if it is for the E90, read also the Nokia E90 Communicator E-mail Support Guide here for the basic steps to do on the phone:

I configured my Gmail folder using the IMAP4 settings above but still can't seem to get it to retrieve my emails or folders. Not sure what I've done wrong.

for Yahoo, unless you have premium membership, you won't be able to retrieve it through POP config, well certain countries still allow POP retrieval. for easier solution, you can always use Yahoo! Go.

for hotmail, you can use Windows Live Messenger and plug-in and it will be available in your messaging list.

For some reason I can't get my Live Messenger or Hotmail to set up either. Using T-Zones as my access point I'm unable to log into MSN/LIVE Messenger, retrieve email or browse using SkyFire. Pretty disappointed by I might have things set up right and it's a T-Zones issue but I can't find an answer if I should be able to do these things using T-Zones or not. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to.

I got the solution for accessing Hotmail on the E71 from Microsoft support:
Turn off then turn on your phone. Then clear the phone cache of your device's browser. Refer to your device manual for instructions on how this is done:
Options – Clear privacy data – Clear cache
Once you have cleared the cache, please access your e-mail account again using the steps provided below:
1. Use the link http://mobile.live.com/wml on your mobile device's Internet browser.
2. Choose "Hotmail" from the Main Menu.
3. Enter your Windows Live ID.

IT WORKS!

You can access Yahoo mail with the free yahoo option

The way to do it is:

Select 'Set up email' (it's on the home screen on my phone - don't go to messages)
Select 'Nokia email service'
From hear just answer the questions

I think the difference is that the one in the messaging section is the normal email you get on most phones where you have to connect and then receive emails through a pop3 service, while the 'Nokia email service' is the service that is promoted so strongly by Nokia being the challenger to blackberry. Oh yes, this also seem to be push email with emails coming through very nicely.

Cheers
