Phone Handset MotoSmartphones website launches

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new mobile phone website, called Moto Smartphones ( which has been set up to assist users of Motorola’s Z8 and other model smartphones. It is an independent website, in no way connected to Motorola Inc. but aims to promote and provide support for their smartphone products.

The website includes, among other items, a news section, a frequently asked questions section, support forums for user to user support and a downloads section offering UIQ themes, firmwares (where available) and links to freeware and shareware applications. In the near future we will be launching a non-profit scheme to test, report on, and certify applications as being compatible with the Motorola Z8 and any other, future, non-touchscreen UIQ phones. The scheme encompasses all types of software, both free / shareware and commercial software. It is impartial and both free and non-binding to both and the software developer.

The website builds on the work done by and is run by a small number of people, all enthusiasts of the Sendo X, Motorola Z8 and other Symbian based UIQ & S60 smartphones. The site is UK based, and is not being positioned as a commercial activity.
