The All In One Torch

Ah, it's not just me that wants to also use my smartphone as a torch. Ever since the N93, I've wondered why this isn't a built-in feature. All In One Torch is a Python hosted script that offers pulsing of the camera LED in the likes of the N95 and E90, along with always-on white main screen. The only downside is that you have to go through a silly Rapidshare system to actually get the download. Shout here if you can't grab it. The usual warnings about knackering your LED hardware apply, of course. And familiarity with running a Python script will help (via Symbian blog)

"The future of 1-Click web hosting"

Really. The future is a general refusal to allow you access to any files hosted by rapidshare. And seeing as thier free version doesn't seem to work (on either of the net connections I have access to). The Internet is doomed! Doomed, I tell you!

Any chance of getting the file of you Steve?

Thanks for the kind words, Steve! One of the sources of my 'inspiration' was the general disgruntlement with NTorch Lite on the N73...but yeah, you're definitely spot on: this is something that should have been implemented in Symbian phones long ago.

P.S Never realized rapidshare could be so troublesome...will provide an alternate link asap on my blog!

Until TM adds the file to his blog page, I've mirrored the latest build of AIOTorch here.
