flashlight program

does anyone know an app that will keep the n95's flash for the camera on to be used as a flashlight? i tried the torch app and thats useless

The flash units on all cameras use a phenomenal amount of power as they have to generate a very intense white light.

This is normally manageable as the flash is only ever on for a split second.

If the flash was on constantly I'd imagine it would drain your battery in an unbelievably short time.

do you think it would damage the bulb that creates the flash if it were on for a min or two? i wouldnt really mind if it drained the battry quickly

Quite probably as it isn't designed to be used like that.

I'd imagine the bulb would probably blow or even worse in theory it could overheat and damage your phone.

The drain on your battery might be beyond its limits as well.
