At least one company out there is concerned about providing a half-way decent e-reader for the N97!

They just put update 4.01 out a short while back trying to provide functions on touchscreen phones.

The kludge solution for using Mobireader on the N97 is such a giant step backwards from the functionality on my old Nokia 9300.

And I really miss having Tomeraider, too.

Hi rdcinhou

Have you tried using virtual keymapper with mobipocket ?- I find remapping some of the N97 keys helps a lot - You do not get full touch screen functionallity but it makes reading in portrait\full screen much easier - see post below

Yes, I use VirtualKey to remap the keyboard, but when simple basic features like scrolling don't work--it is a lot more trouble.

With as much as I read, turning the pages with buttons will just wear out the buttons.

BTW the *NEW* eReader's scroll finally works for the N97. You can even speed it up or slow it down using right/left (respectively) on the dPad.
