Current latest N95 Nokia vs latest TMob f/w

Screen just died on my N95 and T-Mobile are swapping it out tomorrow (it's 9 months old, so bargain really)

Question is, does anybody know how up to date the latest T-Mob f/w is compared to the unbranded Nokia one? Cos I don't wanna be mucking about with NSS if I don't have to...

Cheers,
D

It's the same process.

Just use the Nokia Software Updater and it will install the latest branded firmware.

It uses the product code to determine which firmware is the latest for your specific phone.

I think you misunderstand me. I understand that the process is the same, and that you get fw version based on product code. My question is does the functionality of the latest t-mobile f/w include all the goodies of the current unbranded vanilla fw: -

- onDemand memory paging
- AGPS
- Better battery usage.

Cos basically, if TMobiles current fw has all the above (etc) then there's no point rewriting the prod code with NSS to the standard EURO code before checking for updates, whereas if it doesn't do all the above then it's a necessity to make the phone work "properly"

I didn't bother in the end. Just changed it to Euro 1 - Plum and updated it...

Can do without the t-mobile branding all over the place too...

hmm, i'm not sure about this t-mobile v.14 firmware really being a re-branded v.21...

V.21 has flash lite support which the t-mo v.14 doesn't have. on my previous n95 i was running v.21.something and it was also a lot more stable. mines currently restarting everytime it goes in my pocket...

and don't get me started on the branding. grr.
