Like mentioned a million times before (hint hint!), the N-Gage QD is useless for MP3 playback (due to MONO sound output), but for games and such the sound output should be of the same quality. The original N-Gage has a separate chip for the music player, that's why you get stereo sound output (44kHz), but when it comes to 3'rd party music players, and other Symbian apps/games, the sound output is still the same as the other Series 60 phones (MONO 16kHz).

So basically, unless you need/want a *usable* MP3 player, a radio, USB connectivity and tri-band, you should be fine with the QD.

Btw, welcome to the forum.

QD is better suited to me, i dont use mp3 player (have a mini disk), dont listen to radio (cause im always on the tube) and dont really like side talking. I guess it depends on what you want.

MP3 playback on the QD is basically shite, I could get past the 'mono' part but could not get used to the tinny, bass-less sound. I thought I could put up with it for the sake of having one gadget in my pocket - but after a week or two I gave up and went back to using my separate MP3 player.
