Nokia Multimedia Convertor (or Helix Pro for Rm)

A Good copy of WinAVI for converting WMVs etc is also a bonus

Can you confirm it is actually 3GPP?

According to the write up it is converting to MPEG4
This is supported in the 6680's Real player so would not cause you any problems.
The only problem that would occur is if you tried to send it to another phone that only supported 3GPP

I stand corrected 3gp is Mpeg4 if I recall will have to tr the program out but tired last night

Ive always prefered the file quality and compression rate of RMs anyway you can fit a whole episode of say South Park 20 minutes to about 10meg and the quality is far better than anything your going to get out of a similar size 3gp file.... the trade off is of course that not all phones play rm and its compatable with most video non smartphones

As far as I'm aware 3gpp is Not the same as mpeg4

They are very similar but apart from the extension (one uses .3gp the other .mp4) there are other differences.

The main one is the sound. True mpeg4 uses AAC where as 3gp uses AMR
This is not the only difference but it is the most noticable with older mobile phones.

My 6630 plays the .mp4 file without any problem
My 6600 will play the image of .mp4 files without the sound(using May 2004 Real Player codec)
My friends 6820 which can play .3gp quite happily, fails to recognise the .mp4 file at all.

If I am wrong then I stand corrected
