Oh well, I guess the only consolation is that the 3 x 2GB cards were still cheaper than the 1 4GB card. Not that I care. I'm lazy. I don't want to have to keep swapping cards. With the 4GB I can pretty much have all three GPS packages (TomTom, Route 66, and the Native GBS 'Maps' package) on one card. Or at the very least I can have one package, with the largest part of the world covered, which is probably more sensible once I have worked out which package I like best (although I don't think I will be able to do all of America too as this is usually about 4GB+ on its own). What we really need is a minimum of 8GB - but that isn't projected to happen for another 2 years at least.

Just out of interest, since there have been so many conficting reports (some say it does work, some say that it doesn't) can you tell us what 'brand' your phone is (if any) and what firmware version you are using?

Thanks!

It's a UK T-mobile updated to latest official firmware using the nokia software v11.0.026

Someone said its about two years before 8GB hits MicroSD, so by the time 32 is out, youll probably be on your virtual smartphone with 5 gigapixel camera and galactic satnav.

Buyer beware of Kingston 4G SDHC - it has developed strong issues in N95 (v21.0.016)

Anyone know if the 8gb SDHC Sandisk card works in N95?

I'm about to go travelling and would prefer the max i can get... saves having to carry multiple cards around and have seen it for approx 20 with a usb adapter.

cheers
