Web Link N95-1 Startup ERROR!! anyone know what this is?

Hey guys. ive got ANOTHER problem with my new N95-1 =\... anyways here we go:

just recently my N95 kept crashing and restarting, for no aparrent reason. i restarted the phone each time after it restarted itself, and the problems seemed to be solved. However, today, when i started up the phone, i got an error "System error" with a red X beside it, RIGHT after the nokia handshake startup screen ends. this happens EVERY TIME i start the phone up.

Any ideas how to solve / get rid of this stupid message? and is there anything wrong with the software thats why this thing is poppin up?

Thanks!!! great forum!

Re-install your firmware via nokia software updater.

hey thanks for the quick reply...but wont i lose everything on my phone??? if i reinstall the firmware, and then use the pcsuite backup to restore will the problem arise again? since the restore is containing the error?

or will everything be solved via the following:

1. backup with PC SUITE
2. Reinstall firmware via PC SUITE
3. Upload backup with PC SUITE

??

Thanks a lot!

to do this .. BUT .. don't restore everything .. just contacts and messages. (if required)
re-install other software from scratch.

Good Luck!

PROBLEM SOLVED!! i uninstalled some useless apps and games and there are no startup errors!! i figured this out because when there was no mem stick inside the error didnt come up upon start up. but when i put the stick in, which contained all the appz, the error came up. uninstalled some random stuff, and bingo everything works again no need to reinstall firmware and go through all that reinstalling stuff.

Now i can rest peacefully !

i even transferred all the files over to the 8gb SDHC card i got and the appz run smoothly. thanks alL!

You can avoid your problems by installing apps to only the phone mem.
