Stereo Blue tooth headsets - answer to the 2.5mm plug proble

I read stuff about people wanting to use their pukka stereo headphone on their P800 and were limited because of the 2.5 mm plug size.

I then thought surely there must be someone using bluetooth to produce decent stereo headphones.

However the only one I can find is this korean offering which is a bit expensive ($250 plus) but also includes it's own MP3 player, and the potential for downloaded music-on-demand. I don't want any of that (and more to the point I don't want to pay for that) - I just want to be able to listen to my P800 MP3's via some nice stereo bluetooth headphones - anyone heard of any?

The koreans jobs are at:-

I'll be honest with you, the quality of the supplied earphones are on par with my Sony Fontopia earphones - and that says a lot!!!

I've compared the sound quality of my P800 against my Sony D-CJ01 MP3/CD Walkman (which many critics believe to be one of the best mp3 players in the world, if not the best) and it's hard to spot the difference in sound quality.

*Imagine they do a review of the best MP3 players on the market and the P800 comes first. That will be well funny!!!

Yes, I only want bluetooth headset that can listen to the P800 MP3 and operate as handsfree only.

The Korean offer is too big and I don't like in red.

I agree with Kingrob, I think the sound-quality is really good as well.

And he, if you want to use your own headphones you can always buy a simple 2.5mm-3.5mm plug or this:

Re: Stereo Blue tooth headsets - answer to the 2.5mm plug pr

Seem to me rather stupid design. Bluetooth device should be wireless...

Anyway that's a good try.

The new bluetooth spec 1.2 includes a codec for streaming 16bit stereo audio which would allow high quality stereo wireless headphones. The spec is due to be ratified soon, but not sure if the existing P800 with 1.1 spec can be upgraded to 1.2 as it also uses a different radio pattern.
