Phillips join Symbian's Platinum Partner Program

Phillips have signed up to Symbian's Platinum Partner Program. That doesn't mean we'll see Phillips powered Symbian phones, as they'll be concentrating on systems and IC solutions. In the future, other manufacturers can choose the Phillips 'base' for their mobile phones. They're not the first to offer this (Texas Instruments OMAP for example), but more choice and diversity is good.

Thanks to Infosync for the heads up.
