Hi 2thelimit,

If your handset is not-operator phone(Generic phone) [There are phones which are provided in some countries by service providers like Vodafone, AT&T, etc, even if firmware for generic phones are available globally for operators phones, they only will decide if the phone can be updated with latest firmware], So if your phone is generic phone, check for latest firmware updates in Nokia Software Updater....

From your post it seems yours is network enabled phone, so even if Generic/SIM Free phones has got other updates, your operator still didnot approved latest firmware for your phone, even if its available to globally to generic/sim free phones :(

You could debrand the phone:-

and then update your firmware:-

What are the major benefits in upgrading to v30, are there any downsides?
