No, its not possible to do to put MP3 directly as ringtones in a 3660.
You can instead convert the mp3 into a .wav file, and keep it as a ringtone.
Or, you can convert it into a .ogg file and after installing OggPlayer you can keep it as a ringtone. (Thats what I've heard, havent tried OggPlayer.)

There is no need of the Ogg player. Just convert it to Wave, using GSM compression ( it's best working for me . GSM compression 6.xxx i think ). You may wish to try other compression codecs - the phone is capable of reading many compressed WAVE formats. I have GoldWave installed, i think it comes with some great codecs available, and it has a trial period you can evaluate. In addition, mix the channles in mono file, and you'll have a smaller file than an mp3 one will be, and the phone reads it, and it sounds great. You can Maximise the volume in GoldWave as well. The sound quality using this metod is top-notch. You should try it.

Well, i've already told you. The nokia 3650/60 plays WAVE files, nevermind their size ( i have a pure uncompressed waves at about 4 MB in size ). It also plays compressed files - it's just like mp3, you can use many compression types, but the fials should be still wave. You can have a whole mp3 song in 3 mb that way. Give it a try, you'll never ask for something more. It's just that great.
