Thanks for the great review. Is there ant chance to see some comments about various Symbian software performing on Vivaz? X-Plore, JoikuSpot, GPS software, SymRDP, Web Browser, YourTube video and so on.
Thanks.

Sony Vivaz or Samsung Omnia HD

Hi Steve

Vivaz and Omnia HD pretty much have the same feature. The Samsung selling feature is the AMOLED screen and 8 or 16GB internal memory. I think in the past you did a review on the Omnia HD. I was wondering, looking at only camera functions, what are your views on photos and videos taken by both the phones?

After having the Vivaz for slightly over a month now. I must say I did not experience the problems that you have mentioned.
In my Satio it was a big "YES" & that was the main reason I changed to a Vivaz.
I guess you may have bought a "Lemon."

Good question as to what phone to get?
Ask Steve L.
IMHO, the N8's spec looks good to me. Then again running on a new Symbian touchscreen OS you may initially encounter some software issues which needs a few upgrades before it can work smoothly. This is quite normal for all smart phones.
The good thing about Nokia is that they do upgrade their phone's SW quite regularly. SE is going that route as well but can't say the same about LG & Samsung.
I have used a Satio & it was at best a terrible set.
The only good thing about the phone is the camera.
You are just unlucky to have bought an off day Vivaz.
Go back to SE service centre & make some noises & demand a new Vivaz if possible.
Good luck to you.
