Strange setting on the E90......Help!!

Hi can any one help me with this one?
With the E90 closed, when a call comes through I press the green answer button and put the phone up to the side of my head but I cant hear anyone but they can hear me.
I have to put loud speaker on then take it off to be able to hear anyone.
I have had a look through the instructions and cant find anything.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Rob

p.s
Also noticed that just above the camera on the back the is slghty magnetic....

This may be a silly question, but have you checked your earpiece volume settings are high enough or, worse, that your earpiece speaker is working?

AFAIK when you put a call on loudspeaker, it uses different speakers on the phone: those two little grills on the camera side of the phone. Which may explain why that area is slightly magnetic.

However, I may be just talking rubbish. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon!

Thanks inigopete,
that was the 1st thing I tried was the earpiece setting and its on full but it wont work till I activate the loudspeaker then flip it back to headset.
Now I have the phone setup to how I want it and have made my N95 a thing of the past its now become my main phone.
So now when i'm getting calls I have to go through all that before I can speak to someone

I hope your right and someone will come through with the goods
Cheers
Rob

Have you got any third party call monitoring/diverting/recording software installed? Try disabling that if so. If not, do a backup and hard reset the E90.

Frustrated - E90 works only in loudspeaker mode

Hi,

Even I am having the same issue, and am extremely bugged. Wheneva I need to speak, I have to put it in loudspeaker mode, and the moment i put it in Handset mode, i cant hear a thing.

I have out the handset speaker vol at the max, and now after seeing the blog also did a hard reset, but to vain.

Is there any other setting that i need to check. I have not installed any 3rd party software, and have recently updated my firmware to v300.34.84.

Please help!!!!
