Sound cut out problem with bluetooth.

Hello,

I am having a problem where occasionally, whilst listening to music over Bluetooth, the sound just stops. After switching off Bluetooth and just playing the music through the phone speaker, there's no sound coming out of there either.

After a reboot, it works fine again, but until I reboot, there's no sound.

Is there a way of resetting the sound output devices without a reboot?

Thanks.

Smile Reboot

Reboot effectively does free RAM memory space .
I think the malfunctioning might be caused by too many applications running at the same time or corrupted software .
It doesn't seem to be hardware .
Corrupted software generally can be removed by a hard reset . In case of hard reset you will need a backup of all your personal data . Use Nokia PC Suite on your PC/Mac . For reset see my post here :

Rather than turn-off Bluetooth or reboot, try going to the Bluetooth application and manually disconnect from the BT audio device you are using, and then try reconnecting. This usually works for me...

Thank you for the replies.

I do not think it is corrupt software, because it is the built in music player. As for memory issues, I tend to close all applications as (unlike my 9500), it is recommended to close apps to save battery life.

I have also tried several combinations of disconnect, reconnect, disabling Bluetooth, enabling again, switching profile etc. Pretty much anything I can think of. All with no success. A reboot being the only temporary fix.

I don't know whether it is related, but I have problems with mic cut out too. Especially when recording video over 30 seconds.

My personal experience leads me to think it's a device driver fault, which is a firmware problem.

Mine is 300.34.84 RA(6)
