E71.....call volume WAY too low..PLZ HELP!
Hey all,
I just got an E71. Its a really nice handset. However, the in call volume is REALLY low. Its even worse with the earpiece. I have adjusted the volume all the way up with the up/down buttons. I work around servers, routers, and switches and the fans are really loud.
On my moto i had a program to adjust the gain tables of the phone. Not sure if nokia has something similar.
Thanks everyone!!

Talk / Alarm Volume ?
Do you mean the talk or alarm (ringing) volume ? The ringing volume can be set in : Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Personally > Sounds/Tones . Choose a loud ringing tone like Nostalgia . Set volume to maximum . Also vibration can be set here .
About "Talking volume" : while answering a call , you can choose manually loudspeaker instead of earpiece . When loudspeaker is on , with D-Pad right-left you can adjust volume .
Hope this helps ...

Tried using this earpiece again last night. Its just SO annoying that you cant hear the other party unless you lock yourself in a quiet room.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Locking in , in a quiet room , really ?
When you are in a medium loud space , you should be able to make that call ! There could be some reasons for the incovenience :
1) Broken E71 , e.g. speaker
2) it is NOT a real E71
3) upcoming deafness ?
Hope the last one is not true .
