Strange E6 problem - problem with shortcuts (first icon)
After one day of use, I have found that irrespective of the home screen, the first shortcut icon (e.g. from the left as you look at the scree, e.g. "Messages") is not senistive to finger touch. But as far as I can tell that area of the screen is fine when using the browser of the main list of apps (selection by picking with a finger). I have done a hard reset and also re-installed the firmware, but no difference. I think one 'bank' of the touch senitive screen may be damaged, but this 'bank' may be used by other apps. Any suggestions on this problem?
EDIT: I have the same problem with the first row of shortcuts when using the app called "Favourite Apps" which give you an additional 12 shortcuts on the E6 screen. So may be an Anna bug.
Worrying that you say a hardware fault - are you sure? I have sporadic issues with having to tap the screen twice on my E6 but it only seems to happen in the homepages - everywhere else it appears to be fine but maybe I'm not being observant enough!
Download Mobile Painter (free) and then paint (medium width "pen") horizontal lines across the screen (top to down). If there is a fault with the hardware you will see gaps in the lines.
Also, when you select shortcuts from the home screen, you should see a fine line box around each icon just before the app is launched; if not check that you are not picking a neighouring icon/app.
