Secrets Only Your Smartphone Knows - Handy Safe Reviewed

Steve's been busy worrying about his PIN numbers and where to keep them all. And (much as Rafe and I in the past have also done), he's turned to Epocware's handy Safe. His review of the latest S60 version goes into more detail on why the pc and mobile based system is one of the best around.

Read on in the full article.

I downloaded a trial for this a few days ago. The lack of import/export is concerning me - that is going to be a lot of copying/pasting for most people (even on the PC). As a shortcut I tried loading it up as freetext note fields and relying on the find facility - this was working great until I realised that it was truncating some of the notes without warning (2k limit?).
Also, this is another UI that takes no advantage of the larger screen on the E61. I hope that this isn't going to be a standard feature of all S60 apps for the E61 - should 'zoom' be a standard feature of an S60 app?

As much as I liked the software, it lacked features from eWallet. The best available wallet software for both PDA and desktop version. Too bad, they dont' have symbian version.

Here are fundamental flaw with HandySafe
1) no autolock i.e if you forget to lock the handysafe, other people get all your data at once.

2) raw and rudimentary GUI and functionality

3) no preferences, etc

4) no manual
