FAQs

When will the phone be available and how much will it cost?
The phone is scheduled for the first quarter of 2006. The likely shipping date is late March / early April 2006, but it may be into late April before the phone become available in significant volumnes, and may take further time to be available via your operator. The unsubsidised cost of the phone is €500 Euros ($590 USD, £350 GBP). It is expected to be widely available in the EMEA market.

The FCC have approved a Cingular branded single band WCDMA 1900 version. However it is reported that Cingular are now unlikely to carry this phone initially. It seems likely it will follow a similar pattern to the N70 and N90 for the US market (only widely available some months after the European release).

Will it run Skype?
No official anouncements have been made, but Skype is coming to Symbian and it is likely that this phone will be one of the first to get a working Skype client.

What about other VOIP?
Yes it is likely it will run other VOIP software. Nokia are using the N80 in their UMA trials for example.

Where can I see the official specifications?
You can find them on the Nseries site.

Although it's not officially linked from the main site, the official Nokia N80 End User Guide (in English) is up and can be found here.

Hope it's of some use..

N80 internet edition

No mention of the N80ie?

I just ordered one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival tomorrow. I know it's pretty much the same as the N80 - different firmware. But is there nothing worth mentioning about it here?

Thats pretty awesome. Liked the glamor shots of the N97 with the music going...are they going to run that on TV too?
