In my case the GPS of E90 inside the car works better (almost continuous signal) if the phone is closed and near the front glass... if I open it and put it on my lap the signal goes down with frequency.
I have to buy a support to place the phone near the tablier of the car!!!!

I am using the E90 GPS and a Tomtom receiver... The period to lock signal is identical in both devices... That period depends in many factors: The time gap between now and the last usage of gps, the phisical distance between now and the last usage of the gps, the bildings around you, the weather...

But for a multiporpose device, I think it is very good.
