E51 vibrate alert

Does anyone else's vibrate alert suddenly decide to stop working? I had to remove the battery to get it to come back.

You haven't by any chance installed RemindMe have you? I did this and it 'took over' control of the vibration function (while it was active). If this is true for you (or anyone else) go into the setup and individually 'switch on' the vibrate function in each of the settings pages for various alerts - it's obvious when you get there.

Nup. Checked the settings, no luck. Haven't had it happen for a while though.

I guess you'll have to monitor it. It may be time for a full hard green+3+* reset. Have you updated the unit to the v200 firmward via NSU? Might be worth doing. But in my experience, you're better not to do a 'restore' as often I find the fault restores as well. It's a bit tedious to reinstall apps from your SIS files and it kind of relies on having another S60 handset to use 'transfer/switch' (depending on how old it is) to copy your calendar, contacts, notes, call history, messages etc. and set it up again, but I think it's worth it. I don't trust backup and restore (yet!).
