Battery Problem.

Whenever I move the cursor over the battery icon on my screen, it will say "plugged in, charging".

I need some help. I just replaced the alternator and the battery in my truck and it is still showing a low battery on the gauge and the battery light is lit up on the dashboard.

i mean it can turn. but the red wire turns with it at the same time. soo is there any way i can do something to diconnect the red wire from the battery soo i can swapp it out.

right now i disconnected the battery and im going to let it rest for a 1/2 hour and see if it does any good ...

I have a 79 corvet that has a 383 stroker in it. I recently found that the alternator was bad. I have replaced the alternator and a new dry cell battery.
