unlock vodaphone in canada
hi there,
i can see that there are replies from vodaphone here, so perhaps they or someone else can help me. i'm canadian, but just bought an e90 locked to vodaphone in the UK. As i cannot use vodaphone here - nor even contact them on the internet as the form insists my phone number start with 07 - can vodaphone just provide me with an unlock code? I trust they wouldnt charge considering my situation. The phone has been used for a month in the uk.
thanks

You have to trim a small amount of the plastic of the sim card but they work brilliantly. i Have been usikg one in my N80(locked to Orange) with an O2 and voda sim

How did you get a phone locked to Vodafone? And why have you taken it to Canada? In the UK they subsidise the price of the phone and then lock the phone to make sure you use it on their network to recoup their costs - by taking it abroad they won't recoup their subsidy so, unless you have exceptional circumstances I would imagine they would charge you for the unlock codeQ
This is usually the remaining cost of the contract if it was on one.
How come you got a locked phone?
Making you put in a mobile No on their web contact form is silly but if I was you I'd just make one up and then email them and explain your situation and see what they say.
Good luck.

So you've bought a stolen phone? Hope you're proud of yourself.
If the person who had the phone stolen is reading this do you want him/.her to get in touch?

Where does it say or even imply that it was stolen?
I bought my e90 on ebay as well, if it had been locked to a network it doesn't mean it was stolen, just that the person who sold it didn't want it anymore.
I recently sold on ebay a Sony C702 mobile that I got free with my contract. I didn't even open the box. The guy who bought it in Norway will be getting it unlocked to use over there. no issues no fuss and no stolen phone in sight.

Yes you can try getting the unlock code for Your Nokia E90 from Vodafone network. If you didn't get any response from them you can still get the unlock code from any reliable third party service. Before that you can visit www.mobileunlockguide.com . this site provides free unlocking instructions. this would help you understand unlocking process better.
