Cannot open links in mail. E7-00 belle
Hi,
when I try to open a link in an Email, I first get a Popup "Loading" and then an error "Loading failed. Please try again later."
So when someone emails me a link, I have to copy it and parse it to the browser.
Someone else has the same problem? Someone a solution?

Same here on my C7. It also affects links that i receive via SMS. I have no idea what causes this and how i could possibly fix it. :(

I just had a thought of something you can check.
Go to Settings / application Settings / Default Applications / Menu - Advanced Options.
make sure they are pointing to valid Applications (for web and such).
and maybe use the "Restore to Defaults".
Good Luck

@smcmanus: Thx, I had already tried that. It seems to be fine - at least I don't see obvious mistakes. (I don't know, of course, what *should* be there.)
I also reset this to the defaults, didn't make a change.
It reminds me though that I (re-)installed Opera very soon after I upgraded to Belle. I am not able to tell if this error started to occur right after I upgraded to Belle or only when I installed Opera as a 2nd browser. Probably I didn't check mails in between.
Maybe it's not really a Belle issue but something that broke during the installation of Opera? I do remember that it didn't matter when I changed the standard browser to Opera (or to the stock browser) or when I uninstalled Opera.
@bugmenot123: How about you? Do you or did you habe Opera installed?

Yes I have Opera installed, but I don't see how this could be the Problem. When I have web as default browser, Opera shouldn't do anything. But well, you never know, maybe I will try to reset my E7 and test it without Opera. But good to know I'm not the only one with the Problem.

Opera isnt that great anymore compared to nokia webbrowser. I use opera 2 but I have discovered in the last 6 months that it has some affect on the phones E6 and Nokia 701. Cant really put my finger on it.
In the next update for Nokia 701 I think i will leave opera completely...sometimes nokia webbrowser is better and sometimes opera but actuallyt nokia webbrowser has narrowed opera in the last updates. opera seems to standing still..
Love Nokia 701 Belle btw

Updating to Microsoft Apps 2.0 fixed the issue for me - kind of. I still get the mysterious "loading data" message, but eventually the browser will open and load the requested page.
