URGENT: Is it possible to download & install Symbian^3 on N8?

Wife got me a great new phone - a Nokia N8! Got an incredible deal on it!
Sadly, deal was so incredible because it's not running Symbian but some cheap Chinese clone software.

1) Is there any way to check if the phone is real - not a fake Nokia N8? (and by all appearances it seems to be a real Nokia N8)

2) If so, is there any way to download and install Symbian^3 on it?


We may have a chance to return the phone soon if I can't get Symbian on it, but if there's a chance of restoring to spec I need to know soon.

its just a very good copy it isnt a n8 with a different o/s , nothing on it will be the same as the n8 just made to look like a n8 , it wont run symbian get your money back as soon as possible mate

seriously take it from me it will never ever run symbian

all i can suggest is getting your money back asap
