N8: best memory card?
Hello there ,
I am looking for a very fast memory card for my Nokia N8. I have looked around and saw that for max capacity, 32GB, you see mostly class 2. These, apparently, are not recommended for recording. The 16GB ones vary from class 6 to class 10.
Has anyone used the 32GB Sandisk one? Is it fast enough? How about the 16GB Class 10 Kingston?
Cheers,
Wish ...

The Class 10 Kingston is the best for speed/capacity at the moment (and the most expensive even compared to 32GB Class 2/4) - but its highly recommended that you keep your media separate between onboard and removable memories.
Onboard 16GB is very quick and I'd argue its (almost) like SSD in speeds - that no MicroSD would come close to it. You should reserve this space for application installations and Camera use. However, all your MP3's, SD videos, ebooks and general media that takes up space - store them on the memory card instead as these dont have requirements for fast speed writes as much. That way, you can do a 32GB card to store all the non-speed critical data, with the onboard memory reserved for quick speeds.

just buy any card and use the mass storage for hd video recording and photos from the camera
then use the memory card to store things like music and video thats allready recorded
you only need fast data transfer for hd video recording and the mass memory is fine for this
i got a 32gb card very cheap and just use that for my music and films and use the mass memory for hd video and photos afte ive shot some hd video i move it to the memory card at a later date to free up mass memory for more recording
simples really and this way you can use any memory card :-)

Has anyone bought and uses any of those cheap £25 unbranded 32GB memory cards on ebay? Are they any good?
I plan on using the mem card for music, backups, films, ebooks etc

dont buy them they are useless
tryed one and after about 19gb the card would throw up loads of errors and when i checked the 19gb of files they were pretty much all corupt
avoid them and use play.com or mymemory instead £50 quid class 4 32gb cards and work fine
as for kingston class 10 these dont come in 32gb and are we even sue the n8 can read/write speeds up to 10x?? as if it cant thats just wasted money

Damn! Bought the £25 ebay one already! I'll phone format it when it arrives and see how it is! Thank God I paid thru paypal so if it turns out to be a fake, then I'll surely be getting my money back. The guy so far has no negative feedback tho!
