Yes, the list is weighted. But your marks still seem to be off - you gave desire and mini 8 points in calendar/agenda section. Shadamehr's example clearly shows that the advantage Desire has is a lot bigger. You suggest that the difference in e-mail between Desire/iPhone and N97 mini is one point? That's a bit shocking. And both the legend and mini get 8 points for general speed impression? Web browsing on N97 mini is just "one point worse" than on iPhone or Desire???
Android isn't miles ahead of Symbian. If anything Android is several years behind Symbian, technically, but a year or two ahead in terms of UI flexibility and response, and in terms of Internet integration.[/url]
Sure, Android *is* less mature, and it shows in some areas. But, at the same time, I think is technically more advanced (or at least it feels that way, and I'm not talking about eye-candy but about how the OS seems architected, how it manages tasks & memory, how fast is developing, how easy is to develop for it and extend it). A more modern OS which hasn't yet reached maturity but has space to grow and feels fresh.
I don't think Nokia would explore the Maemo/Meego way if Symbian would hold so much room for development in the future.
