N76 fell into water

Hello

My N76 fell into water, i took it out from the water and placed it out in the sun for 1 hour daily continuous for 1 week and after that i put on the battery and charged the cell for 4 hours and tried to make it ON and upon pressing the power button the LED's were ON but on releasing the button, they were OFF.
I changed the battery with the new one and placed it for charging and after an hour, I again tried to switch on the cell and the lights were ON and typical nokia startup sound came from it, which means its working but doesn't showing the display on the main screen as well as on the outer screen.

I took it to the repairing shop and the person said that the RIBBON has to be changed which costs Rs. 2500/-

Is there any other solution???
