new t-mobile services-GPRS Web & WAP Browse £17.20???

does any one have any info re the above?

i am a t-mobile customer and today whiles looking through my account on the web i notice i was able to add the above new service to it - an option was provided to do so under the heading 'Enhanced.com services' and the cost is £17.02 excl. vat

......but no further info is provided!? e.g. how much data i can use up, etc? i tel cs at t-mobile and they are worst then crap (not all of them but most) and they basically said they dont know and was prob a new future service not yet marketed.

another thing is Iam a personal tarrif customer and unless you have a current tarrif t-mobile wont let you share in MMS and GPRS, etc! so its odd im able to add this 'new' service to my account.

(the guys at t-mobile deny GPRS exists and/or its able to use it !!)

anybody have any info/comments pls?

thanks

i just phoned up t mobile and asked about this aswell, we found out that it is the 20 pound a month mms bundle which t mobile use to have (well still do actually) where first of, when this was released, you could send 10 megs of mms, but then they changed it to just 300 mms for 20 quid, they are changing this bundle and updating it and this will be the new name for it, they wont' release anything new until the begininng of any month. hope that helps/

There are loads of posts on this topic ont his very forum, but just to save you the time looking for them:

You can use GPRS on T-Mobile now although it has not been officially launched. To do so, you must

1) Go to www.sonyericsson.com/uk and download the settings to your phone.

2) Ring 150 and ask for MMS to be activated.

3) Wait 24 hours.

4) Viola!

It is charged at the stupidly high rate of 2p per KB, (£20 per mb) although it has not appeared on my bill at all for the last 2 months.

omar, what happens, is that it will charge you, although it's not displayed, therefore it can't charge you, because it's the law that phone companys can only charge you if they can prove that you made that call or whatever, if you phone up 150 and go through to a dude at t mobile, get him to filter out all voice calls and you'll get the cost so far of what GPRS has knocked up, however, what i am doing, is not telling t mobile that i use gprs and they are all confused as to how the calls come about and they credit it back to me at the end of the month (next bill)

I've been told that their billing system hasn't been updated to spport their GPRS pricing structure yet, although this could happen at any time so I wouldnt recommend heavy useage.

They can charge you & proof is easy for them to obtain. Vodafone have recently started back dating all charges for their GPRS (LIVE!) service to cutomers who were downloading for free all throughout November. Their billing system had not be updated yet either.
