Video Playback

In terms of watching, erm, movies/television programs on your phone, are people using the Ovi to compress to MP4 or are you holding out for a DivX player?

I personally am hoping for a DivX player (why oh why oh why has Nokia not done one of these in the past?), but finally, it seems that unlike their other efforts, the media player is in fact usable in this device.

Thanks Nokia.

I joined a discussion over in the 5800 forums a couple of weeks ago about converting videos for the phone. They recommended Xvid4PSP (there's a copy in the thread).

I've done 16 films for my phone using it and they all look fan-bloody-tastic! People who see them can't believe the quality! Tips on how I did it are also in the thread.

Please support my suggestion for Gravity!! - Add cut/copy/paste for when N97 is open
