Locked by unknown provider

I got a used 6600 off ebay and the provider was unknown. Is there anything I can do to use this phone other than bumming sim cards off various people trying to find the same provider? I don't plan to use this phone for calling, rather as a pocket computer/PDA. Thanks for any help.
