E71 - Tomtom 6.02 "Can't install" problem
Hello
I've got my E71 today, and I'm at this moment struggling to get TT6 on it. I've copied maps and folders from my resent card on N95-1, but after trying to install I'm told that it "cant install" the file... :|
Anybody got it working on the E71? If yes - how did you do it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
I have managed to install it, but it does not run, nothing happens when trying to start.. I have installed tomtom successfully on 6600, 6680, E70 and E51... so I do have some experience.. I did suspect that it had something to do with the screen resolution (same thing happens on my E70 in landscape mode), but I have seen on this forum that it works on E61 which have the same screen layout as E71. So I have to ask the same question: Anybody got it working on E71? or E66?

I will try it out and let you know in a couple of hours. If I have it working, I'll take you through step-by-step as to what I did.
Wish me luck!

Well, I just got finished deleting CoPilot and installing TomTom 6.02, maps and all, but like the rest of you, I couldn't even get the app to start.
There is obviously an issue with this particular device and TTN, because I was able to install and run this app on a number of devices, both current and pre-release models with no problems.
I guess it's time for either CoPilot Live or use the built-in Nokia Maps app.

Installed !!!
Hi,
i have successfully installed TOMTOM 6.02 on my n71 with uk & ireland maps I initially had problems installing due to certificates but I set it to accept all and reset the time / date to last year. Once installed the application opened but came up with no maps found (had western europe maps installed) installed uk maps and this worked fine..
Problem is it cannot see the internal gps on the n71 only external gps but looking into this now I will let you know if I figure this out or if it is a sticking point...
anyone know let me know if they have a solution to this I know its a problem on the n95

I'd appreciate knowing how to do this too. I heard something about bt.sisx & GPSd.jar but don't know what to do with them.

Ross166 do you mean you installed it on your E71 and not n71 as you say in your post? How do you accept all certificates?

I have got my TT working now on E71 but only with the external GPS.
I have tried the emulator hack with the files bt / gpsd / tomtom but only the gpsd one works - this installs and runs on the internal gps but the TT cant find it when it does a Bluetooth search for other devices.
anyone got this to work ?
cheers
